Among other things, priority must be given to lifelong learning so that people acquire skills that meet the demands of a labor market undergoing an increasingly rapid transformation. We are at a pivotal time for the future of space exploration, with results that will likely turn humanity into a multiplanetary society and species.

  • 85% of new jobs are directly or indirectly related to some form of technology, yet only 30% of students, on average, enroll in STEM careers.
  • 65% of current tasks will be robotized and automated, but only 9% of the adult population receives continuous training to learn new skills.

According to a well-known study by the Institute for the Future (IFTF) in Palo Alto, California, 85% of the jobs expected for 2030 do not currently exist. The logic suggests that the speed of technology and the automation of repetitive tasks seem to be leading us toward a future of uncertainty. The virtual world, artificial intelligence, and software are advancing at a pace that often overwhelms us. It is common for many people to believe that changes will occur that we cannot even begin to imagine.
