
Globant launches IA Challenge. It will award US$ 200,000 to companies that share ideas for Artificial Intelligence. Uruguay and the Region.
The competition is available to executives and leaders of large, medium, and small companies in Uruguay and the region. Participants must share how they would leverage AI to solve a specific business challenge; the most creative and original ideas will have the opportunity to win up to USD 200,000. Globant, a digital-native company focused on reinventing businesses through innovative technological solutions, launched its AI Challenge. To participate, business leaders must present their ideas on how artificial intelligence (AI) can be used to solve industry problems and address business challenges. To join, executives and leaders from large, medium, and small companies in Uruguay and the region must describe a challenge they are currently facing and their idea of how they would solve it with AI. The challenges can be company-specific or focused on an industry in general and may include anything from customer experience to supply chain optimization.

Participants have until Sunday, May 21st, at 11:59 PM to submit their ideas. A panel of AI experts and senior executives from Globant will evaluate each submission, and a list of preselected candidates will be announced. These candidates will then present their ideas virtually to the final jury, which will choose the winners.
Diego Garagorry, Country Manager of Globant for Uruguay and Chile, told InfoNegocios that no industry is unaffected by AI, even in the Uruguayan market. “There are opportunities in all industries, and we have high expectations that all kinds of companies will present the challenges they are facing and how they would address them with AI.” He also mentioned that in Uruguay, “we have leading companies, and there are people with a lot of knowledge. This is an area where there is much to contribute by solving local problems but with a global perspective, taking advantage of the openness and what technology enables today.”
